ABOUT US
Welcome to the South Carolina Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf site.
SC RID serves as an essential local arena for its members to pursue excellence. SC RID is an affiliate chapter to the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf organization. Take advantage of the numerous benefits these groups offer by joining both the national organization, as well as the state chapter which will focus on the needs of interpreters in South Carolina.
What we do:
· Annual conference—weekend full of workshop opportunities, networking and fun
· Training sessions throughout the year
· Keep members up to date on interpreting issues going on across the state and nation
· Represent professional interpreters on a variety of statewide committees.
· Provide scholarships and stipends to interpreters for conference attendance, as well as to take the national certification test.
